Just about a year in, I’ve noticed that JLR decided to print the turn indicator icon on THE most frequently-contacted point of the stalk. And now it looks like this.

Does the stalk really even need that indicator printed on it?

What’s a JLR?

Eh, slippery slope IMO . Technically once you’re used to all the frequent controls you wouldn ’t need any labels...

Seems like something BMW would do, seeing as their drivers never use their turn signals anyways

Their turn signal stalks are just blanked, like the centre console blank buttons on their base models.

Methinks you doth assume too much.

Oh. They never use their turn signals anyway!

Sidenote: Bmw uses a stupid turn sign stalk that returns to center and does not stay in a given direction, it is easy to click it off and accidentally turn the signal onto the other direction. As a result people dont use the signals

Yeah that sounds weird . I don’t understand why BMW thought tha t wa s a good method.

makes sense to out it there to me
that way for people who have OCD about things being clean etc might replace it more often

That is baller. Let’s just say I do not play in the realm of this car’s original MSRP or anything remotely close.

In fact, a very important button for Jags was not working very well when the car arrived--the hazard lights button . All the centre console buttons had become sticky due to melted plastics which I think were caused by its previous desert life. Fortunately all fixed under warranty.
